Get in Touch

Sampson County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release status, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. For an authoritative answer, use the agency, court, or corrections office that holds the record.

Where Sampson Records Are Held

The right contact depends on the record and the custody stage. Current county confinement and recent booking information begin with Citizen Connect. A police report made inside Clinton has a separate records unit. Court events and dispositions belong to the clerk and the North Carolina eCourts system. State prison and supervision records are held by NCDAC, not by the Sampson County jail.

For county arrest reports, jail bookings, and inmate information, read the Sampson County public-records instructions and open Citizen Connect Inmate Confinements. The county directs readers to Citizen Connect first. Current Confinements addresses who is shown in county custody. Admits by Date Range addresses recent intake, while a record request is the fallback when a needed entry or image is not available online. Detention staff do not provide release dates by phone, so do not treat the jail line as a release-date verification service.

Clinton Police accepts ordinary accident and incident report requests through several channels. Its official Records page does not publish a separate booking-photo rule or a fixed turnaround. For court activity, use eCourts Smart Search by name or case number, then call the courthouse when the online result does not answer the question. A state offender record belongs in the NCDAC Offender Public Information Search; a request for an NCDAC-held record can be submitted through the NCDAC public-records form.

Use the following paths for the most common record questions:

  • For a current Sampson County inmate, recent admit, charge, bond, or available booking image, check Citizen Connect before making a separate inquiry.
  • For a written county booking or arrest-record request, provide the person’s name, approximate date, arresting agency, and booking number if known to the sheriff’s office.
  • For a Clinton incident or accident report, use Clinton Police Records by mail, email, in person, or phone and follow its fee and mailed-request instructions.
  • For a court date, judgment, dismissal, plea, or other disposition, search eCourts and then ask the Sampson County Clerk of Superior Court for help with the local file.
  • For a state-sentenced prisoner, probationer, parolee, or older NCDAC record, use the state offender search rather than the county booking portal.
  • For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator; for immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
